I’d like to share a rather interesting program that I think will be useful to many people who work with Denso firmware. 🙂

To put it very simply, the program helps you view the firmware contents not just as a set of numbers, but as clear maps, graphs, and tables. You can view and compare them and modify them if necessary.
And best of all, I have prepared a ready-to-use Windows EXE build, so you won’t have to install Python and libraries yourself or figure out how to launch it from the command line.

What Denso ECU Toolkit can do#

The program allows you to:
  • open and view firmware maps;
  • display them as 2D and 3D graphs;
  • view values in a regular table;
  • quickly switch between detected maps;
  • compare the original file with the modified one;
  • compare it with another BIN file;
  • see which values have been changed;
  • add your own names and labels to detected maps;
  • view the firmware contents in HEX format;
  • save the project and continue working on it later;
  • save the modified BIN.
Simply put, instead of looking at a huge file full of incomprehensible bytes, you can see its structure much more clearly.

The original project also includes tools for finding maps inside Denso SH705x firmware using Ghidra.
But it is important to understand one thing:
this is not a “press a button and get Stage 1». program.
It helps you find, view, compare, and analyze firmware data. Users need to understand for themselves exactly what to change and why.

Supported ECUs#

The project was created for Denso ECUs with SH705x processors.
The author used the following vehicle as the primary test platform:
Opel Astra 1.7 CDTI 125 hp / A17DTR / Denso
However, the program’s concept is not limited to just one specific firmware file.

A note about authorship#

I’d like to clarify one important point right away.

I am not the author of Denso ECU Toolkit and do not claim authorship.

The original project was created by Pablo Soage Rodas and published on GitHub on 13.04.2026.

Original project:
https://github.com/PabloSoage/Denso-ECU-Toolkit

The original project is licensed under GPL-3.0.
I am publishing the program virtually as-is.
The only thing I did was compile it into a ready-to-use EXE version for Windows, so that people who find it difficult to install Python and the required components themselves can simply download, extract, and launch the program.

Important#

The program can save a modified BIN, but it does not correct the file checksum itself.
Therefore, before flashing the modified file to the vehicle, it must be checked with a suitable tool for the specific ECU.

Another program of mine#

For anyone interested, I previously shared my own program here:

AutoTech Manager 2.10.37 — customers, vehicles, services, PDFs, and work history

https://binunlock.ru/t/autotech-manager-2-10-37-klienty-avtomobili-uslugi-pdf-i-istoria-rabot.2587/

This one is entirely my own project, and I am continuing to develop it gradually.

And a little preview of what’s coming... 👀#

I am currently finishing another project of my own.
I won’t reveal the details yet because I want to test everything properly first.
I’ll say just one thing: if everything works as intended, this program should greatly simplify the day-to-day work of virtually anyone involved in automotive software optimization.

It will automate tasks that currently require quite a lot of time to complete manually.
After the first proper tests, I’ll definitely publish it on this forum. 😉
