Glad the key went through.
Greyed-out brands are normal — the brand list is filtered by whichever function you have selected. ECUMaster enables a manufacturer only if that specific function exists for it, so a brand that is live under
IMMO / PIN can be greyed under
IMMO OFF,
VIRGIN,
Radio PIN or
Checksum, and vice versa. Switch the function first, then look at the list again.
The authoritative reference is
support list.txt in the package — it breaks coverage down per function (IMMO, IMMO OFF, VIRGIN, radio, checksum, special functions), so you can confirm before spending time on a file.
Two other reasons a brand stays inactive:
- The function is listed as planned/not implemented in this build (1.0.4 added BMW EDC15 ISN and PSA BSI fixes, but not every brand got new functions).
- You're in the wrong entry point — some units are reached through the ECU family (e.g. EDC17, MED9, SIMOS) rather than the car brand.
If a specific one still looks wrong, post the function tab, the brand you expect and the ECU type (e.g. Bosch EDC16C34, Delphi DCM3.7) plus a screenshot of the greyed entry, and I'll tell you whether it's a coverage gap or just the wrong menu path.
