I managed to start the Peugeot; I extracted the key code from the BSI and virginized the ECU software (using K-Tag on the original file). I used the Autel Maxisys for key programming and ECU-BSI synchronization. Everything is working perfectly (though the ECU still needs to be coded to match the car's specific equipment). Great result — virginize + BSI key extraction with Autel Maxisys is a clean, reversible path on a 2004 unit, and you were right to avoid poking the BSI coding for the sake of a shortcut. Glad it's running. Get the equipment coding sorted and that car's back to full health.
