iDecoder is an offline dump-processing utility for supported ECU, immobilizer, dashboard and body-module files. Available operations depend on the selected vehicle and module family and may include IMMO, PIN/VIN, virgin reset, CS/MAC, ISN, PCR2.1 unlock, DPF, EGR, TVA, hot-start and DTC functions.
License Activation#
To request activation:
- Download and fully extract the complete iDecoder package.
- Launch the program only through START-iDecoder.exe.
- At the first launch, copy the displayed 16-character HWID.
- Reply to this discussion thread and post your HWID.
- Wait for your personal .reg license file to be issued.
- Close iDecoder before installing the license.
- Download the supplied .reg file and double-click it.
- Confirm that the information may be added to the Windows Registry.
- Launch START-iDecoder.exe again.
A license filename may look similar to:
CC22203D07654137.regThis is only an example. Every license is generated for one specific computer and will have a filename corresponding to the submitted HWID.
A license issued for another computer will not work.
If the HWID window appears again after importing the registry file, post the newly displayed HWID and attach a screenshot of the activation window.
Installation Notes#
- Extract the archive into a separate folder, for example
C:\iDecoder\ - Do not run the application directly from the ZIP archive
- Always use START-iDecoder.exe
- Do not launch Runtime\iDecoder.exe directly
- Do not move, rename or remove files from the Runtime folder
- Keep the launcher and Runtime folder together
For easier file handling, working dumps can be stored in a separate directory such as:
C:\BIN\Processed files are normally created beside the selected source file.
Technical Support and Bug Reports#
When reporting a problem, please include:
- iDecoder version
- Selected vehicle group
- Selected ECU or module function
- Memory type and dump size
- Tool used to read the original file
- Screenshot of the application
- Exact error message or unexpected result
- Information about whether the processed file was created
Please do not publicly attach customer dumps containing VIN, PIN, immobilizer or other sensitive vehicle data unless specifically requested by a staff member.
Compatibility Reports#
Reports for tested vehicles and control units are welcome. Please include:
- Vehicle make, model and year
- ECU or module type
- Hardware and software identification
- Memory type used
- Selected iDecoder function
- Whether the operation completed successfully
Compatibility depends on the exact ECU version, software structure, memory organization and dump size. A listed ECU family does not guarantee support for every available variant.
File Safety#
Always keep an untouched backup of the original dump and work only with a separate copy.
Do not overwrite the only available original file. Verify the processed result and any required checksums before writing it back to a control unit.
