DTPID is an installation package associated with the Daimler Truck diagnostic environment for supported Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles. The current independent-workshop solution is Daimler Truck Diagnostics PassThru, which provides quick tests, fault-memory functions and model-dependent diagnosis or flashing for supported Euro VI control units.
Interface / adapter: the PassThru environment uses a compatible SAE J2534 vehicle communication interface; Diagnosis over IP additionally requires a device with DoIP support. Exact vehicle coverage depends on the release, VCI driver and installed diagnostic data.
Access note: installing the package alone does not provide a licence. Daimler Truck user rights, a valid StartKey/time credit and additional flash authorisation may be required.
