Which Windows version is recommended?
For maximum stability during ECU flashing and diagnostics, a clean installation of Windows 10 (64-bit) is recommended.
Is it compatible with J2534 PassThru?

Regarding the version v1.2, I have a few technical questions for those who have installed it or for the uploader:

1. Interface Compatibility: The FAQ mentions support for J2534 (Scanmatik 2 Pro, OpenPort 2.0). Historically, Mercury CDS G3 has been very strict about requiring the official Mercury SmartCraft interface or the specific City ID dongles. Has anyone actually verified communication with a PCM using a standard Scanmatik 2 Pro on this specific v1.2 build?
2. OS Architecture: The installer file is listed as win32.msi. Does this run stable on Windows 10/11 x64, or is a VM with Windows 7 x86 required for the drivers to load correctly?
3. eBOM Coverage: Does this database include the eBOMs for the newer Verado or just the older Optimax/MPI systems?

Note on installation: If you are connecting to a multi-engine vessel (Axius or Zeus pods), make sure your CAN network termination is correct before launching the G3 software, otherwise the module identification view often hangs or fails to populate the correct eBOM list.

I will test this on a bench setup with a PCM09 later this week and report back on the J2534 functionality.
