Glad to hear it's working well for you! It is definitely a major improvement over the older MUT-III PRE software, especially regarding speed and stability on Windows 10/11.

Just a quick tip for anyone else installing this: since this is the SE (Special Edition), it is designed to work natively with J2534 Pass-Thru devices.

  • Highly recommended to use with Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 (original) or Scanmatik 2 Pro.
  • If the software doesn't see your interface immediately, check your VCI Config utility to ensure the correct J2534 driver is selected.

how to install?

The installation process is generally straightforward for the SE version. Here is the standard procedure:

  1. Mount the ISO image or extract the RAR archive to a folder.
  2. Run setup.exe (or autorun.exe) as Administrator.
  3. Follow the installation prompts. It will install the MUT-III SE application and the SEPE (Service Publications) viewer.
  4. Once the installation is complete, do not launch the software immediately.
  5. If the download includes a "Fix", "раtсh", or "Medicine" folder, copy the contents of that folder into the installation directory. This is typically located here:

  6. Make sure your J2534 interface drivers (Tactrix Openport 2.0, Scanmatik 2 Pro, etc.) are installed on Windows.
  7. Run the MUT-III SE Configuration utility (or VCI Select) from the Start Menu to select your specific J2534 device before launching the main program.

What specific error message are you getting?

Usually, extraction fails for one of three reasons:

  • Wrong Password: Ensure you are using the correct password mentioned earlier in the thread:

    (It is best to type it manually rather than copy-pasting to avoid hidden spaces).
  • Outdated Software: If you are using an old version of WinRAR or 7-Zip, it may not recognize the compression method. Update to the latest version of 7-Zip or WinRAR 6.x.
  • Corrupt Download: If the download was interrupted, the archive is incomplete. Try downloading the file again.
 
No password are request in the system

If the extraction tool does not prompt for a password but fails to extract (or says the archive is invalid), it usually means the file is corrupt/incomplete or you are using the Windows built-in extractor which does not handle RAR/7z files correctly.

Please try the following steps:

  • Install the latest version of 7-Zip or WinRAR.
  • Right-click the downloaded file.
  • Select 7-Zip > Extract Here (or WinRAR > Extract Here).

If it immediately gives an error without asking for a password, your download was interrupted. You will need to download the file again.

The error "Not Found File – Reinstall DXA because the file for authentication is not found" means MUT-III cannot locate its authentication/liсеnsе file (DXA driver or dongle emulator).

To fix this, try the following:

  1. Make sure you ran the installation as Administrator (right-click → Run as administrator).
  2. Check that your antivirus / Windows Defender has not quarantined or deleted any files. The сrаск/emulator files are often flagged as threats. Add the entire MUT-III installation folder to your antivirus exclusions before extracting and installing.
  3. Reinstall following this order:
    • Uninstall MUT-III completely.
    • Disable antivirus / Windows Defender real-time protection.
    • Extract the archive again with exclusions in place.
    • Run the installer as Administrator.
    • Run the DXA / сrаск / раtсh step exactly as described in the included instructions (usually a separate setup or .bat file that installs the emulator driver).
    • Reboot the PC.
    • Launch MUT-III as Administrator.

In most cases, the authentication file was simply removed by Windows Defender during extraction or installation. Check Windows Security → Protection History to confirm if anything was blocked or removed.
