Post the full read from both ECUs — you'll need the complete EEPROM and flash dump from each controller. Make sure to include vehicle year, engine code, and whether these are bench reads or OBD.

For Simos 18.2, the immo data spans multiple sections across flash and EEPROM, so a partial read won't be enough. Same applies to 12.2 — full dump is required to properly disable immo without leaving any residual checks active.

Once you upload the files, mention which tool you're using for the read and whether you're planning to write back via OBD or bench.

Good, I can see the Simos 18.2 dumps — both flash (4 MB) and EEPROM (256 KB) are complete.

From the identifiers:
  • ECU: 06K997071C / 810006K906071C
  • VIN: 111SC8H0V330
  • Software: HEV_ECM18TFS02006K997071C / 001004
  • Engine appears to be 1.8L TFSI

Before processing the immo off, I need a few details:
  • What year and exact model is this vehicle?
  • Was this read via bench or OBD, and which tool did you use?
  • Are you planning to write back the same way?

Also, you mentioned needing immo off for both 18.2 and 12.2 in your original post — do you still need the 12.2 done as well, or just the 18.2 for now?

Thanks for confirming. Before I process the immo off, I still need the information from my previous message:

  • What year and exact model is this vehicle?
  • Was this read via bench or OBD, and which tool did you use?
  • Are you planning to write back the same way?
  • Do you still need the 12.2 done as well, or just the 18.2 for now?

These details matter for the write-back procedure and to ensure the immo off is done correctly for your specific setup. Once you provide those, I can get started on it.

its from a 2014 VW Jetta. I read it boot mode and yes I will be writing it back in boot mode

Got it — 2014 Jetta, 1.8 TFSI, boot mode read and write-back both ways. That's a clean setup to work with, so the 18.2 is good to go on my end.

One thing still open from before: do you need the 12.2 done as well, or just the 18.2 for now? If you do want the 12.2, post its full flash and EEPROM dumps the same way and confirm it's also a boot mode read/write.

I am still waiting on customer to drop of the 12.2 so its just 18.2 for now

Sounds good — we'll just handle the 18.2 for now then. When the customer drops off the 12.2, start a fresh upload with its full flash and EEPROM and confirm the boot mode read/write, and we can pick that one up separately.

I'll get the 18.2 immo off processed and post it back here. If you have anything else to sort out on the payment/service side, that goes through the Bin/admin workflow.

Good — the Simos 12.2 dumps look complete. I can see flash (4 MB) and EEPROM (128 KB) both came through.

From the identifiers:
  • ECU: 06K906070F
  • Software: EV_ECM18TFS02006K906070F / 001010
  • Part: 10373778AA / SC201-10236281AA
  • VIN: 111SC200G8000000

Before I process this one alongside the 18.2, I need the same details:

  • What year/model/engine is this 12.2 from?
  • Was it read via boot mode or bench, and which tool?
  • Are you writing back the same way?

Once you confirm those, I'll handle both the 18.2 and 12.2 together.

it also came out of a 2014 Jetta, read via boot and will be written back same way.

Perfect — 2014 Jetta, boot mode read and write-back both ways, same as the 18.2. That gives me a clean pair to work with, so both the 18.2 and 12.2 are good to go on my end.

I'll process the immo off on both and post the modified files back here. When you write each one back in boot mode, flash the modified flash and EEPROM to the correct controller — don't cross them between the two ECUs.

Anything on the payment/service side still goes through the Bin/admin workflow.

I will make sure of that. Thank you for the heads up.

Thanks Edber. Heads up though — the archive came through as immo_off_VAG_CONTINENTAL_SIMOS18.2_INT FLASH_20260924201356.rar, and I can't open it on my end (no RAR support here, only the metadata), so I haven't been able to check the contents against ashakoors7's original 18.2 read.

Couple of things worth flagging before he writes it back:

  • The filename is the 18.2 flash only — no EEPROM in there. On these Continental Simos the immo data lives across both flash and EEPROM, so a flash-only patch usually isn't enough on its own.
  • This is for the 18.2 (06K997071C). The 12.2 (06K906070F) is a separate controller and still needs its own file.

If you can confirm whether that flash was built off his exact dump (VIN 111SC8H0V330, SW HEV_ECM18TFS02006K997071C / 001004) and whether the EEPROM was left stock or also needs editing, that'll save him a bad write in boot mode. Post it unpacked or as a zip if you can and I'll compare it against the original.
