The driver-wish, torque-limiter and boost-control maps are re-scaled for a more linear throttle feel, while rail-pressure targets are reshaped to stabilise combustion during aggressive transients. Smoke and temperature limit matrices remain active yet re-aligned, so the ECU still intervenes if exhaust temperatures rise beyond factory thresholds. Injection-timing advance is optimised only in the mid-range to preserve idle smoothness and cold-start refinement, and altitude corrections, sensor plausibility checks plus limp-home strategies are fully retained for OEM-level reliability on long journeys or extreme-weather starts. The end result is a noticeably keener response from lower revs, steadier pull through the mid-band and crisper overtakes, all achieved without compromising drivability, emissions diagnostics or long-term drivetrain protection.
