SDconnect Toolkit for XDOS OpenShell (Xentry) — Wireless Control#

2.1.16.1 Restores missing SDconnect Toolkit in XDOS 03.2024+, adds Vediamo and DAS wireless control

If your newer XDOS OpenShell environment is missing the SDconnect Toolkit component, this installer adds it back as a compact, workshop-ready add-on. It targets XDOS-based Xentry setups released from 03.2024 where the Toolkit is not present by default, so SDconnect selection and related functions become available again inside the workflow.

Frequently Asked Questions#

Glad you like it. Have you tested the wireless functionality with Vediamo yet? Let us know if you encounter any issues with the connection stability on the new XDOS version.

The archive password is binunlock.com — make sure you type it exactly as shown, all lowercase, no spaces, no extra characters.

If it's not working:
  • Don't copy-paste from the browser — type it manually
  • Check that your keyboard layout isn't adding invisible characters
  • Make sure you're entering it in the archive extraction prompt (e.g. WinRAR/7-Zip), not inside the .exe installer itself

The .exe installer itself does not require a separate password — it's a standard setup wizard. The password is only needed to extract the archive before running the installer.

Brother, which version of Xentry is this applicable to?

This build (SDconnect Toolkit 2.1.16.1) is intended for XDOS OpenShell-based Xentry setups from 03.2024 and newer — the versions where the SDconnect Toolkit component is no longer included by default.

If you're on an older Xentry build (pre-03.2024), the Toolkit is likely already present and this installer isn't needed. What Xentry version are you currently running?

Hello sir, I am using Xentry 25.12, but after I use it, it does not work. Am I doing something wrong? I extracted it and then installed it.

Hello sir, I am using Xentry 25.12, but after I use it, it does not work. Am I doing something wrong...

Xentry 25.12 should be compatible with that XDOS OpenShell Toolkit build (03.2024+), so the fact it “does not work” means we need specifics.

What exactly fails after you extracted and installed—do you get an error, or does SDconnect not show up / service won’t start / SDmedia can’t run?

Reply with:
  • Your XDOS/OpenShell type + version (or what you see in system/about)
  • The exact error text (or a screenshot)
  • What “does not work” means step-by-step (when you open which module)
  • Your SDconnect model (C4/C5/etc.) and connection type (USB or Ethernet)

Hello sir, after installing XDOS_25.12.5, I tried to install this file with admin rights, but the C4 option doesn't show up in the ConfigAssist menu. I also tried version 25.06.4, and the result was the same. I suspect there might be something wrong with my installation steps. Could you guide me? Thanks a lot.

Hello sir, after installing XDOS_25.12.5, I tried to install this file with admin rights, but the C4...

Need a few specifics to pinpoint why C4 isn’t showing in ConfigAssist.

  • XDOS/OpenShell type/version: what exact version/build shows in Windows About/System (not just “XDOS_25.12.5”)?
  • Connection type: SDconnect C4 via USB or Ethernet?
  • Installer/module you ran: after extracting, did you run the toolkit installer and then reboot? Also, where exactly do you see ConfigAssist (menu path)?
  • What happens in ConfigAssist: is ConfigAssist fully working but C4 is missing only, or is the menu incomplete/blank?
  • Any error text/screenshot: if there’s any message during install or when opening ConfigAssist, paste the exact wording (or upload screenshot of the model/options list).

Reply with those, and I’ll tell you the most likely step/driver prerequisite that’s missing for your XDOS build.

The two installation package files I downloaded are named XENTRY Diagnostics OpenShell_25.6.4 and XDOS26.12.5. After installation, only the C6 option is available. I want to work with C4 and enet. ConfigAssist hasn't changed at all, and this program didn't install the C4 driver software. I tried using SDCONNECT TOOLKIT INTEGRATION TO NEW XDOS VERSIONS 10.2024 to install the C4 driver. After that, both C4 and C6 icons appear on the desktop. In this state, DTS can use C4, but Xentry can't—it says it failed to read the FIN.

Need a bit more to pinpoint why Xentry can’t read FIN on C4 (even though DTS can).

Reply with these exact items:

  • SDconnect hardware model (C4 exact revision if shown) + confirm ENET connection.
  • Exact Xentry/OpenShell build as shown in Windows: Settings -> About (and/or the OpenShell “About” screen). Your “XDOS26.12.5” sounds ambiguous—what exact build string does it show?
  • ConfigAssist version (its About page).
  • Where exactly Xentry shows “failed to read the FIN”: which screen/module and at what step (when starting DTS, when opening which tool, etc.).
  • In ConfigAssist, when ENET is connected: does C4 show as online/connected, and does it ever display FIN/serial info anywhere (not just the desktop icons).
  • Exact name/version of the “10.2024” C4 integration package</b> you ran (as downloaded), so we can verify it matches your current OpenShell/Xentry build.

With those, I can tell you whether it’s a wrong C4 driver set for your specific XDOS build, or a FIN mapping/access-path issue for Xentry.

How about this, I'll reinstall it, take screenshots, and attach the C4 driver files I used.

Thanks—good plan. Before you reinstall and attach everything, I need these exact missing specifics (so we can tell whether it’s a C4-driver mismatch vs an Xentry FIN-read path issue):

  • SDconnect C4 hardware: confirm it’s C4 and give the exact C4 revision (from the PCB/sticker if shown).
  • Connection type: confirm ENET over Ethernet (or USB—just to rule it out).
  • Exact Xentry/OpenShell build(s): in Windows Settings -> About (and/or OpenShell “About”), what exact build string shows for both tests (25.6.4 and 26.12.5)?
  • ConfigAssist: its About/version page.
  • Where Xentry fails: which exact screen/tool in Xentry shows “failed to read FIN”, and at what step (open DTS from where, or which wizard/module)?
  • In ConfigAssist with ENET connected: does C4 show as online/connected, and do you see any FIN/serial/vehicle info anywhere inside ConfigAssist (not only desktop icons)?
  • Which state works in DTS: in DTS, which module/screen successfully reads FIN on the same setup?
  • Integration zip detail: from your “10.2024” integration archive, tell me the exact exe filename you launched (full name as shown). I can see the archive password file says “mhhautosdnc_com”, but I still need the actual exe you ran.

After reinstalling, please attach screenshots for:
  • Xentry screen with the FIN error
  • ConfigAssist About page + the C4 online/connected display
  • Windows/OpenShell About showing the exact build string
