BMW diesel AGR/EGR adaptation#
BMW Diesel AGR-Rate is a focused Windows utility for reading and programming supported exhaust-gas-recirculation adaptation values through a configured EDIABAS environment. Its compact interface keeps connection setup, the current value and the requested change in one workflow.
Connection and service workflow#
- Read the current AGR/EGR adaptation value from a compatible control unit
- Enter a supported change and program the resulting value to the ECU
- Select ENET, ICOM or STD:OBD connection modes provided by the local EDIABAS setup
- Choose an ECU data path manually when automatic discovery is unavailable
Workshop notes#
A working EDIABAS installation, the correct ECU description files and a compatible diagnostic interface are required. Confirm vehicle and engine compatibility, record the original value and maintain stable vehicle voltage before writing an adaptation.
