No — the "1 computer per product" line is the Stage 1 activation limit, not a free-account entitlement. BMW category licenses are only issued to accounts with an active, unexpired Stage 1, Stage 2 or Stage 3 upgrade:

• Stage 1 — 1 computer per BMW product
• Stage 2 — 2 computers per BMW product
• Stage 3 — 3 computers per BMW product

A free registered account has an allowance of 0 for BMW MGD1 FSC Creator, which is what your request returned — 0 registered HWIDs, 0 slots available, so 8DCFBFBD5BC71EDB4AD60A78D9F4AA6C cannot be delivered as things stand.

Also note the counters are per product, not shared across the BMW category, and Stage 1/2 licenses stay valid only while that Stage access is active, while Stage 3 licenses are permanent.

I can't change account or upgrade status from here, and I couldn't open the account upgrades page to quote the current wording (it returned HTTP 403 for me). If you think the upgrades page describes something different for free accounts, post a screenshot of that section or contact Bin/admin directly — billing and upgrade handling goes through them. Once the Stage upgrade is active, repost the HWID here and it can be processed.

I just activated now its saying its for another computer. did nothing to computer ID: 339826987B9132CA095FFF6FBF76E790. I only changed directory

Understood, but the software isn't seeing it as the same device. Facts from what you posted:

• Your attached mgd1fsc.license is bound to HWID=A0534DC661284585C11EEF233C3D5875 (the ID from your first post), valid until 2026-10-27T16:31:52Z.
• The application is now reporting 339826987B9132CA095FFF6FBF76E790.

Those are two different IDs, so the licensing check correctly says "license is for another computer", and the counter treats the second one as a new distinct HWID. That part isn't a judgement about your hardware, it's just string comparison.

Next step

Put MGD1FSC.exe back in the exact folder it was in when it produced A0534DC661284585C11EEF233C3D5875, run it the same way as before (same Windows user, same elevated / non-elevated state), and read the HWID again. If it returns to A0534..., your existing license file is still valid and nothing new needs to be issued. Keep the license file in the same location relative to the exe as before.

Likely cause (inference, not verified)

If the move crossed to a different drive or partition, e.g. C: to D:, an external/USB disk or a network path, an HWID that includes the volume serial will change. A move inside the same volume normally would not. Other things that shift an HWID without you touching the hardware: a docking station or new virtual network adapter appearing, switching Wi-Fi/Ethernet, a Windows reinstall, or running the exe inside a VM or sandbox.

What I need to go further

• Old path and new path, including drive letters
• The HWID shown after moving the exe back to the original location
• Whether it's bare metal or a VM

If the original path genuinely can't be restored, a reissue for A0534DC661284585C11EEF233C3D5875 is free at any time, but a license for 339826987B9132CA095FFF6FBF76E790 needs a free slot you don't currently have. I can't change the account allowance from here, so a Stage 2 / Stage 3 upgrade goes through Bin/admin.
