Stage 1 mapping widens the usable torque plateau on the 2.5 TD5 without sacrificing the engine’s renowned longevity. DPF logic is absent on this platform, but EGR flow and related diagnostics are fully disabled for a cleaner intake charge. Boost, smoke and torque limiters are rescaled with conservative air-fuel targets, keeping driveline stress within OEM margins during low-range work. Cold-start, idle and part-throttle calibrations are refined so cruising economy stays stock while boost builds earlier for smoother pull-away on steep trails.
