Where can I find the flash files for we Mercedes
If you are looking for the files to use in DTS Monaco, it is important to distinguish between Diagnostic Files (needed to connect and unlock) and actual Flash Files (needed to reprogram/update the software).
1. Diagnostic Files (SMR-D)
To connect to the ECU in DTS Monaco and perform the "Unlock" or "Reset" routines we discussed, you need the .smr-d file. You likely already have these installed with Xentry.
Check these folders on your laptop:
Code:
C:\ProgramData\Mercedes-Benz\Xentry\Kontexte\ODXProjekte\PKW_COMMON\dbr
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mercedes-Benz\Xentry\Kontexte\ODXProjekte\PKW_COMMON\dbr
BMS_GEN5.smr-d or OBC223.smr-d.2. Flash Files (SMR-F / CFF)
If you actually need to re-flash the software (update the ECU firmware), you need the .smr-f or .cff files.
If you have Xentry installed, many are stored here:
Code:
C:\ProgramData\Mercedes-Benz\Xentry\Flash
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mercedes-Benz\SDFlash\Release
3. If files are missing
If you do not have the specific file for the W295 (EQE), you need to download the Mercedes Flash DVD (SDFlash) collection.
- Search this forum for "SDFlash [Year] Download" (e.g., SDFlash 2023 or 2024).
- These are large archives (30GB+) containing the firmware for every module.
Important: For the crash reset (P1C8000 / P2E3262), you usually do not need to re-flash the unit. You just need the correct SMR-D file to send the unlock command. Flashing a crashed unit without unlocking it first often fails.
