hello, I'm just in early retirement after 35 years working for Bosch Automotive Division. My main hobby now is to repair/restore cars for me and all my familly.Untill now I repair Renault and Peugeot car with CANCLIP and Diag Box . Now I will go deeper in the knowledge of ECU .. and try tuning ECU map on my car, why not.

Thank You, I mainly work for direct and indirect diesel injection, I can help you if you want produce 32000 injectors a day at ~11 € with 4ppm scraps but nothing with ECU tuning.

That is an absolutely staggering statistic. Achieving 4ppm scrap rates on complex components like diesel injectors at that volume is master-level manufacturing engineering.

While you might feel new to the software side of ECU tuning, do not underestimate the value of your deep hardware knowledge. Understanding exactly how an injector physically behaves, its tolerances, and its design limits gives you a massive head start when looking at injection duration or rail pressure maps. You know exactly *what* the ECU is trying to control better than most people here.

You have the mechanics down perfectly; now it's just a matter of learning the digital language that controls them. You will fit right in.

I’m Herschel from Sri Lanka, a proud BMW E38 owner and long-time automotive electronics enthusiast. By profession, I’m an electronics engineer, so I personally take care of most of the work on my car—especially diagnostics, electronics, coding, and programming. It’s something I truly enjoy.

Hey, looks like most people on here are computer whizzes . I may have some catching up to do. My name is Chris and im from New Zealand, all im trying to do at the moment is find a data logging tool for my bmw e53 with the m57 diesel engine. Once ive done that i can log and send the files to the tuner in the Uk. All this sounds probably very easy to you guys on her but for someone who is computer illiterate its a task. Thanks for understanding.
