Recommended workshop workflow#
- Confirm external power, grounds, network and actuator wiring before opening an ECU
- Identify the exact controller and board revision from labels and PCB markings

- Compare suspect signals with a known-good unit or service data
- Document every replaced component and bench-test the module with current limiting before vehicle installation
Compatibility limits and responsible use#
- A picture for a similar ECU is not a substitute for tracing the actual board
- Some modules contain conformal coating, multilayer tracks and security devices not visible in a photograph
- Replacing a burnt driver without repairing the external short can destroy it again
- The reference does not provide firmware, immobilizer coding or guaranteed repair outcomes
Troubleshooting#
