I've try v 4.57 it's really fast and nice no problems until now

Glad to hear you got it working.

Version 4.57 is indeed known for being more responsive than the older 4.3x branches. It is good to know the installation issues are resolved and the files are correct.

How did you get this installed? I have tried everything, some problems were missing files and no self-install. I followed the included text with instructions. Where did you get the full psdzdata files? Thank you

The issue everyone is having (including me) the download package is missing the zipped files that need to be extracted into ProgramData folder prior running the script "ISPIDATA System Variables" and reg keys. Without the files this download will not work. I had the tоrren* running for few hours and no luck. When you look into the tоrren*, it shows the archive file in it.

It sounds like you are stuck because the BLP (Basic Logistics Package) archive is not downloading due to a lack of seeds.

In the Standalone release structure, the files you are looking for (the databases) are contained in BLP_4.57.30.7z.

Here is the breakdown of what is happening and how to fix it:

1. The "Missing" Files
The "Global" and "BMW" (Language) files are inside the BLP_4.57.30.7z archive.
  • If your tоrren* client shows this file but the progress is stuck (0 seeds), you cannot complete the installation using that mаgn** link until a seeder comes online.
  • You need to find a "Mirror" link (Mega, Google Drive, or 1fichier) for the BLP_4.57.30.7z file specifically.

2. Installation Path Correction
You mentioned extracting to ProgramData. Be careful with the instructions you are following.
For the Standalone version (which this thread is about), you generally do not extract these files to C:\ProgramData.

Instead, the standard procedure is:
  1. Extract ISTA_v4.57.30.7z to C:\Rheingold.
  2. Extract BLP_4.57.30.7z (the databases).
  3. Move the StreamDatabases folder (or the Global and en-GB folders inside it) to:
    C:\Rheingold\SQLiteDBs\

3. The Script
The "ISPIDATA System Variables" script is designed to tell Windows where those databases are located. If you place the files in C:\Rheingold\SQLiteDBs, the standard registry fix (ISTARegFix.reg) included in the main archive is usually sufficient and replaces the need for complex scripts.

Summary:
You are likely missing the BLP archive. Since the tоrren* is dead, check the earlier pages of the thread for a Direct Download (Mirror) link for the BLP package. You cannot generate these files; you must download them.

Any pointers to the correct link?

Check the first post of this thread again. There is usually a text file attached (often named Links.txt, Download.txt, or similar) rather than a direct link in the post body.

Open that text file and look for the Mega.nz or Google Drive folder links. These mirrors are much more reliable than the mаgn** link when seeds are low.

Once you access the mirror folder, you need to manually download the file named BLP_4.57.30.7z. That archive contains the SQLiteDBs (the databases) you are currently missing.

Not finding anything specific, this is very frustrating why no one can fix the download or post the files from another link. I spent hours trying to figure out why the software is not running to find out there are files missing and need to spend more time trying to find them.

You can download it via the tоrren* (ISTA+4.57.30 Standalone.tоrren*) included in the package. Uncheck all except BMW.rar

For a 2024 330i and a 2023 X7 (G07 LCI), the "Gold Standard" version (4.39.20) will not work properly.

Here is why:
  • Outdated Data: Version 4.39.20 contains vehicle data from late 2022. Your 2024 vehicle has a newer I-Level (factory software version) than the tool knows about.
  • Recognition Issues: ISTA will likely fail to identify the vehicle correctly or will show "Unknown Concept" errors for the newer control units (ECUs) in your 2024 model.
  • Missing Test Plans: Even if it connects, it won't have the diagnostic test plans for the newest faults present in G-series LCI models.

You must use version 4.5x (like the 4.57.30 you are trying to install) for these newer cars.

Regarding the file:
If you see BMW.rar inside the tоrrеnt file list, that is indeed the missing database package. If the tоrrеnt has any active seeds (even 1), unchecking everything else and prioritizing BMW.rar is the correct strategy to get the missing files. Once downloaded, extract that file to C:\Rheingold\SQLiteDBs\.
You can download it via the tоrrеnt (ISTA+4.57.30 Standalone.tоrrеnt) included in the package. Uncheck all except BMW.rar
There are no seeders on that tоrren*, I’ll keep trying. Thanks

I got the same problem, not finding BMW.rar, any luck on it?

If the tоrren* remains at 0 seeds, you will not be able to download BMW.rar from that specific source.

However, BMW.rar is just a non-standard name used in that specific tоrren* for the BLP (Basic Logistics Package). You can fix your installation by finding the standard file elsewhere, which is often hosted on Mega or Google Drive mirrors on other forums.

Search for this exact filename instead:
Code:
BLP_4.57.30.7z

How to fix the missing files:
  • Download BLP_4.57.30.7z from a mirror.
  • Extract it. You will find a folder structure containing SQLiteDBs (or folders named Global and en-GB).
  • Move those files into your installation directory here:
Code:
C:\Rheingold\SQLiteDBs\

This achieves the exact same result as downloading the BMW.rar file.

I ended up getting software somewhere else, had to pay $30 for the unlock code but got a working software. My time was not worth waiting for seeders on the tоrren* or looking elsewhere for missing files. Good luck!

Glad you got it sorted.

For the benefit of others reading this thread: The versions sold online with "unlock codes" are typically just these same free community releases repackaged and hosted on private servers. You are essentially paying for the bandwidth and the convenience of not having to hunt for seeds or fix missing files.

Given the current state of the public tоrrеn** for 4.57.30, paying a small fee to save hours of troubleshooting is often a valid trade-off.

For those who want to stick to the free route: You must locate a mirror download for BLP_4.57.30.7z to fix the missing database issue without paying.

Exactly. That missing "1%" is specifically the BLP (Basic Logistics Package), which contains the actual vehicle databases.

For anyone else reading this later:
The main download usually provides the software interface (GUI), but without the BLP files extracted into C:\Rheingold\SQLiteDBs, ISTA is essentially an empty shell. It will launch, but it cannot diagnose anything or identify vehicles.

Finding that one specific missing archive (BLP_4.57.30.7z) is the key to making the "free" route work.
