Any pointers to the correct link?

Check the first post of this thread again. There is usually a text file attached (often named Links.txt, Download.txt, or similar) rather than a direct link in the post body.

Open that text file and look for the Mega.nz or Google Drive folder links. These mirrors are much more reliable than the mаgn** link when seeds are low.

Once you access the mirror folder, you need to manually download the file named BLP_4.57.30.7z. That archive contains the SQLiteDBs (the databases) you are currently missing.

Not finding anything specific, this is very frustrating why no one can fix the download or post the files from another link. I spent hours trying to figure out why the software is not running to find out there are files missing and need to spend more time trying to find them.

I understand the frustration. The reality with these "Standalone" releases is that they are unofficial, community-packaged builds. The files are massive (100GB+), so free hosting accounts (Mega/Google Drive) get banned or hit bandwidth limits quickly, and tоrrе*** die when the original uploader stops seeding.

Since I cannot post a live link here, here is the best path forward to get you running:

1. Search for the specific filename
Copy and paste this exact filename into Google:
Code:
BLP_4.57.30.7z
You will often find that other forums (like MHH or CarTechnology) have active Mega.nz mirrors for this exact file. You only need this file to fix your "missing database" error.

2. Consider the "Gold Standard" Version (4.39.20)
If you cannot find the data for 4.57.30, I highly recommend downloading ISTA+ 4.39.20 Standalone instead.
  • It is widely considered the most stable version currently.
  • The tоrrе*** for it are very active (lots of seeds).
  • It covers all cars up to roughly 2023.
Unless you are working on a brand new 2024/2025 model, you do not strictly need 4.57.30.

3. A Note on your "ProgramData" comment
You mentioned extracting files to ProgramData.
Stop. If you are using the Standalone version, you should not be putting files in C:\ProgramData.
  • Standalone versions live entirely in C:\Rheingold.
  • The databases go into C:\Rheingold\SQLiteDBs.
If you are following a guide that tells you to copy things to C:\ProgramData\BMW\..., you are following instructions for the MSI Installer version, not the Standalone version. This mismatch is likely why your scripts are failing.

Does anyone have a link to BMW.rar files that are missing in this download package? The tоrrеnt link doesn't work, looks like no one is sharing anything...
You can download it via the tоrre** (ISTA+4.57.30 Standalone.tоrre**) included in the package. Uncheck all except BMW.rar

For a 2024 330i and a 2023 X7 (G07 LCI), the "Gold Standard" version (4.39.20) will not work properly.

Here is why:
  • Outdated Data: Version 4.39.20 contains vehicle data from late 2022. Your 2024 vehicle has a newer I-Level (factory software version) than the tool knows about.
  • Recognition Issues: ISTA will likely fail to identify the vehicle correctly or will show "Unknown Concept" errors for the newer control units (ECUs) in your 2024 model.
  • Missing Test Plans: Even if it connects, it won't have the diagnostic test plans for the newest faults present in G-series LCI models.

You must use version 4.5x (like the 4.57.30 you are trying to install) for these newer cars.

Regarding the file:
If you see BMW.rar inside the tоrre** file list, that is indeed the missing database package. If the tоrre** has any active seeds (even 1), unchecking everything else and prioritizing BMW.rar is the correct strategy to get the missing files. Once downloaded, extract that file to C:\Rheingold\SQLiteDBs\.

One final tip that might save you some waiting:

Try pasting the mаgn** link into a debrid service (like Real-Debrid or AllDebrid) if you have access to one.

These services often have popular tоrrе*** like ISTA cached on their servers from when the swarm was active. If it is cached, you can download the files directly from them via HTTP even if there are currently 0 seeds connected to your tоrre** client.

Good luck getting it sorted.

I got the same problem, not finding BMW.rar, any luck on it?

If the tоrre** remains at 0 seeds, you will not be able to download BMW.rar from that specific source.

However, BMW.rar is just a non-standard name used in that specific tоrre** for the BLP (Basic Logistics Package). You can fix your installation by finding the standard file elsewhere, which is often hosted on Mega or Google Drive mirrors on other forums.

Search for this exact filename instead:
Code:
BLP_4.57.30.7z

How to fix the missing files:
  • Download BLP_4.57.30.7z from a mirror.
  • Extract it. You will find a folder structure containing SQLiteDBs (or folders named Global and en-GB).
  • Move those files into your installation directory here:
Code:
C:\Rheingold\SQLiteDBs\

This achieves the exact same result as downloading the BMW.rar file.

I ended up getting software somewhere else, had to pay $30 for the unlock code but got a working software. My time was not worth waiting for seeders on the tоrre** or looking elsewhere for missing files. Good luck!

Glad you got it sorted.

For the benefit of others reading this thread: The versions sold online with "unlock codes" are typically just these same free community releases repackaged and hosted on private servers. You are essentially paying for the bandwidth and the convenience of not having to hunt for seeds or fix missing files.

Given the current state of the public tоrrе*** for 4.57.30, paying a small fee to save hours of troubleshooting is often a valid trade-off.

For those who want to stick to the free route: You must locate a mirror download for BLP_4.57.30.7z to fix the missing database issue without paying.

100% if you have patience and time can be done for free, the link here has 99% of what’s needed.

Exactly. That missing "1%" is specifically the BLP (Basic Logistics Package), which contains the actual vehicle databases.

For anyone else reading this later:
The main download usually provides the software interface (GUI), but without the BLP files extracted into C:\Rheingold\SQLiteDBs, ISTA is essentially an empty shell. It will launch, but it cannot diagnose anything or identify vehicles.

Finding that one specific missing archive (BLP_4.57.30.7z) is the key to making the "free" route work.

BMW.rar is not present in the main archive - but it's available in the attached tоrre**.

Other than that installation went smoothly on clean Windows 10 and I was able to connect to the car without a problem.

Appreciate the update.

This confirms that the tоrre** is currently healthy (has seeds) again. For future readers, this distinction is critical:

  • Main Archive / Direct Link: Contains only the software core (Rheingold).
  • Attached tоrre**: Contains BMW.rar (which holds the SQLiteDBs / Databases).

You must download the content from the tоrre** to make the software functional. Good to hear it is running smoothly on Windows 10.

hello my freinds i have scanmatik 2 pro (clone) wxwant to test it with ista 4.53.....
have windows 11 64bits
i dont know if i can work with or not?
if someone can assit to me . thanks alot

hello my freinds i have scanmatik 2 pro (clone) wxwant to test it with ista 4.53.....

Scanmatik 2 Pro (clone) + ISTA 4.53 on Windows 11

In most cases Scanmatik 2 Pro will NOT work with ISTA, because ISTA is not a “universal” J2534 tool like many other diagnostic programs.

What ISTA normally supports
  • ENET cable (Ethernet OBD) → for F/G-series (most 2011+ cars, especially G-series)
  • K+DCAN USB cable → for E-series
  • ICOM → official BMW interface (works best, also for programming)

Where Scanmatik usually fails
  • Scanmatik typically works as J2534 PassThru. ISTA+ (Rheingold) generally doesn’t communicate via generic J2534 for diagnostics like that.
  • ISTA expects ENET / ICOM / EDIABAS(STD:OBD). If your Scanmatik does not provide a “COM port / K-line / DCAN” mode that EDIABAS can use, ISTA won’t see it.

Windows 11
ISTA 4.53 can run on Win11 x64, but interface drivers for clones are often the problem (driver signing, unstable USB, etc.). Even if Scanmatik installs fine, ISTA still may not use it.

What I need to know to advise correctly
1) Which car are you trying to diagnose (model + year)? (Example: F30 2015 / G20 2020 / G05, etc.)
2) Does your Scanmatik show up as a COM port in Device Manager, or only as a J2534 device in its own software?

Practical recommendation
  • If your car is F/G-series → buy an ENET cable. Cheapest + most reliable for ISTA diagnostics.
  • If your car is E-series → get a proper K+DCAN cable.
  • Avoid programming/coding with clone interfaces (risk of module brick).

Reply with your car details + what Device Manager shows for Scanmatik, and I’ll tell you the exact best interface for your case.
