One last important detail regarding the ATMEGA162 version:

Make sure to block the application in your firewall or disconnect the internet while using it. If the software tries to update the interface firmware from the official server, it will likely "brick" the cable (desynchronize the license) and you'll have to reflash the EEPROM to fix it.

But always keep in mind "old" interfaces with Atmega chip can not read all protocols of newer cars (only up to ~2018).
For all coverage better use interface with ARM STM.. chips. There are 3 different clone versions avialable. Two with loader and the other with V2 helper program. If buy china clone check, if loader version has free update or payed update. V2 helper has free update, as long as provided by chines company..
