BinUnlock MG1 Workspace is an offline Windows file-processing utility for supported BMW gasoline MG1 / TC29x DME flash files.

The application combines three focused workflows in one workspace:

• Flash раtсh
• 1CR Repair
• FSC Bundle Generator

Both flash workflows operate on an exact 8 MiB / 8,388,608-byte bench-read file, automatically recalculate the required MG1 checksum and publish a new verified output without overwriting the original source.

BMW MG1 / TC29x Flash раtсh

Flash раtсh is intended for a supported raw gasoline MG1 / TC29x bench read.

Required source size:


Before creating an output, MG1 Workspace inspects the complete source file and displays:

• File size
• Source SHA-256
• Detected variant
• Current раtсh state
• Inspection result

Only a source that passes the supported inspection state can be processed.

The software creates a new patched copy, recalculates the required checksum and reopens the finished file for verification.

The selected source is never overwritten.

1CR Repair After Tuning

A separate 1CR Repair workflow is included for supported tuned MG1 flash files.

Use this function when:

• The DME flash has already been tuned
• The original 1CR no longer works after tuning
• E-Sys reports SWSigStatus rejected
• The exact tuned 8 MiB image passes inspection as Ready for 1CR Repair

The repair is applied to a new output file and the required checksum is recalculated automatically.

Important:

1CR Repair is not a general tuning repair function.

It is intended specifically for the supported post-tuning 1CR / SWSigStatus condition. An unsupported, already repaired or ambiguous file should not be forced through the workflow.

Automatic Checksum & File Verification

Flash раtсh and 1CR Repair automatically perform the required supported MG1 checksum recalculation after the file modification.

Before reporting success, the application verifies the published output again.

Verification includes:

• Expected file length
• Expected changed ranges
• Checksum processing
• Output reopening
• Final SHA-256 calculation

The resulting SHA-256 can be retained with the workshop job record and compared with the exact file selected later in the bench programming tool.

BMW FSC Bundle Generator

MG1 Workspace can also generate a verified FSC ZIP for supported BMW DME applications.

Required request fields:

• VIN - last 7 characters
• Generator ID - 6 characters
• Order ID - 7 characters
• One or more supported FSC Application IDs

Each selected FSC is generated and verified independently before the final ZIP is published.



Supported FSC Applications

The current FSC catalogue contains 11 Application IDs:


DME1 and DME2 Application IDs are separate and should be selected according to the actual vehicle / DME configuration.

FSC ZIP Verification

The FSC Bundle workflow creates one new verified ZIP.

The archive contains:


One FSC file is created for every selected Application ID.

If any requested FSC fails generation or verification, the complete bundle is not published as a successful result.

After successful generation, MG1 Workspace displays and records the final ZIP SHA-256.

Offline File Processing

BinUnlock MG1 Workspace is a file-only application.

It does not:

• Connect directly to a BMW DME
• Read the DME through OBD or ENET
• Perform the physical bench read
• Write or program the DME
• Use J2534 or another programming interface

The required 8 MiB flash must first be read with the appropriate professional bench / programming tool.

After processing, the verified output must be programmed separately using the correct equipment and workshop procedure.
