Injection Duration and EOI Calculator is an offline calibration worksheet for relating rail pressure, injection duration and start-of-injection maps. The interface accepts a rail-pressure table, a duration table and an SOI table, then produces a revised duration map and calculated end-of-injection values. It is intended for calibrators who understand map axes, engineering units and combustion timing rather than for automated one-click tuning.

Recommended workshop workflow#
- Identify every source table, axis and unit before copying data
- Export rail pressure, duration and SOI tables without changing row or column order
- Use a known stock operating point to confirm the calculator interpretation
- Calculate the proposed table and inspect discontinuities or negative timing margins
- Transfer only the intended values to a working calibration and correct checksums separately
- Validate injection quantity, pressure, EOI, smoke, temperature and torque under controlled conditions
Compatibility limits and responsible use#
- Tables with different axes cannot be combined simply because their dimensions match
- Injector delay and non-linear behavior may require data not represented by a basic calculation
- Unsafe EOI can raise smoke, exhaust temperature or cylinder pressure
- The utility does not enforce engine, turbocharger, fuel-system or emissions limits
- Never distribute or flash an output without independent engineering validation
Troubleshooting#
- Pasted values shift columns: verify decimal separator, delimiters and exact table dimensions
- EOI values are implausible: check crank-angle convention, SOI sign and duration units
- Output has steps: confirm all axes are monotonic and aligned
- Clipboard import fails: use the bundled sample text to reproduce expected formatting
- Calculated table cannot be imported: preserve row/column order and the target editor delimiter
