Magneti Marelli IAW4xx — Immobilizer EEPROM File Tool

Magneti Marelli IAW4xx — Immobilizer EEPROM File Tool 1.2

Magneti Marelli IAW4xx Immobilizer File Tool is an offline utility for selected VAG-oriented IAW4xx EEPROM layouts. The interface loads a file, checks whether the immobilizer structure is recognized and writes a separate output. Its visible profiles include IAW4LV, IAW4TV, IAW4AV, IAW4CV, IAW4HV and IAW4MV-related paths, with notes that some variants require a physical immobilizer-diagnostic line change rather than a file-only operation.

The application lists specific controller identifiers and distinguishes file processing from wiring requirements. Those boundaries matter: selecting a similar family or ignoring the stated line condition can leave the ECU locked or create a nonrecoverable mismatch.

What this resource is for#

Use the tool only for authorized repair or replacement of a supported IAW4xx ECU after the correct EEPROM has been read and backed up. Select the profile from the exact controller identity, allow the program to check recognition and save to a new file.

Confirmed functions#

  • Load a supported IAW4xx EEPROM file
  • Choose the exact controller-variant workflow
  • Check whether the immobilizer data is recognized
  • Display recognized immobilizer status
  • Write a separate processed output
  • Show the PIN for a recognized IAW4LV file where the application supports it
  • Provide variant-specific notes for physical line handling

Supported vehicles, controllers and data#

  • Visible ECU identifiers include 036906014, 036906034 and 032906024
  • The interface lists IAW4LV/MI, TV/HV, AV/CV and MV-related options
  • IAW4LV is documented in the screen as containing VIN/PIN information when recognized
  • TV, HV, AV and CV notes refer to immobilizer-diagnostic line nineteen handling
  • No claim is made for an IAW family or identifier not shown by the program

Package contents#

  • Single native Windows executable
  • Original screenshot documenting variants, ECU identifiers and wiring notes
  • No ECU dump, wiring harness, programmer or checksum package
  • Executable is unsigned and was statically inspected without launch

System, hardware and interface requirements#

  • A dedicated Windows workshop computer or isolated virtual machine with administrator access for legacy software where required
  • Enough free space for the extracted package, immutable originals, working copies and verification outputs
  • A second trusted application or OEM document for checking identifiers and results before any vehicle-side action
  • Current backups and a documented recovery route before changing configuration, EEPROM or flash data
  • Stable vehicle or bench power whenever a connected diagnostic or programming step follows the offline work
  • Verified EEPROM read from the exact IAW4xx controller
  • Programmer and pinout documentation for the target memory
  • Ability to restore the original and perform required adaptation or wiring checks

  • Identify the vehicle and control unit from labels, part numbers, hardware and software identifiers rather than appearance alone
  • Preserve the original file or configuration and record its byte size and SHA-256 before processing
  • Use one clearly named working copy for one operation and never overwrite the only known-good backup
  • Review the proposed result against the original and confirm that every changed region or parameter is understood
  • Validate with the correct OEM diagnostic or programming system before writing or committing configuration
  • Complete a post-operation scan or functional test and retain a concise repair record without public customer data

Compatibility limits and responsible use#

  • A matching family name does not prove compatibility with every hardware revision, software branch, memory layout or market
  • The package does not replace OEM service information, ownership checks, qualified diagnosis or a tested recovery method
  • Security and immobilizer functions are for authorized repair of owned or customer-authorized property only
  • Legacy unsigned executables should be isolated and independently scanned; no malware-free claim is made
  • Never post VINs, keys, PINs, active seeds, calculated responses, customer files or proprietary controller dumps publicly
  • File processing does not replace the variant-specific physical line requirement shown by the tool
  • A displayed PIN or processed state must remain private and vehicle-authorized

Troubleshooting#

  • Input is rejected: verify the exact file type, byte count, controller family and read method before trying another option
  • Result is empty or implausible: stop and recheck identity, endian order, source quality and the selected workflow
  • Application does not start: use an isolated compatible Windows environment and install only required trusted runtimes
  • Changes are unexpectedly broad: discard the output and compare again from the untouched original
  • Vehicle-side validation fails: restore the documented baseline and diagnose power, wiring, interface and controller state separately

File integrity and safety#

The source archive was fully tested and extracted. Every executable, library and nested container was inventoried and inspected statically without launching the automotive software. The final package is rebuilt with encrypted headers and independently extracted again before publication. Preserve the original hashes, work on copies and independently scan unsigned legacy software in an isolated environment.
