same, no
Okay, if after your “warm-up time” it’s still 0% CPU / 0 Mo/s on Windows Installer and the ISTA screen remains stuck (something like “Updating component registration”), then it’s no longer “just taking a long time”.
I need 3 pieces of information to narrow it down:
- Windows</b> : Windows 10 or 11 + build (if you can).
[*]The exact text</b> of the step where ISTA is stuck (copie/colle).
[*]In Task Manager</b> → Details :
- tab, which processes are present (e.g. BMW Group ISTA Installer 32bit, msiexec.exe, etc.)
- which processes have CPU/Disk at 0</b> or not.
And perform a simple test (without “retry/cancel” in a loop):
- Restart the ISTA installation as administrator.
- Make sure nothing else is interfering with the installation (antivirus/pare-feu third-party ones, if you have any; Defender alone is OK).
- If possible, try again from a different support/disque</b> (a slow or unstable drive/ISO/USB = MSI/registration very frequent freezes).
Reply with the 3 pieces of information (especially the processes + the exact text), and I’ll tell you what to check on the Windows side Installer/logs.
