Description
VAG iDEX (Intelligent Diagnostics Environment for ODX) is an engineering diagnostic application for working with supported Volkswagen Group control units. It provides access to fault diagnosis, measured values, functional tests, coding, parameterization and ECU software programming.
This collection brings together iDEX setup files, OPP packages and a separate AU58X archive.
What is iDEX used for?
Why are diagnostic projects needed?
iDEX is the application, while ODX-based diagnostic projects provide the ECU-specific information used to communicate with control units. This includes diagnostic requests, parameter definitions, fault-code descriptions and information used for coding or programming.
The application and its project data serve different purposes. Installing the software alone does not establish vehicle coverage: the correct project and ECU variant must be available for the intended task.
Included files
The three executable packages carry the same 1.19.11.3 version label. The file listing does not establish the installation relationship between Setup and OPP or the exact vehicle coverage of the project archives.
